Gillian Cross has been in touch

Gillian says that some of her stories might fit the themes of The National Year of Reading

Can you guess which ones go with which month?

Chartbreak - which is a teenage girl telling her story

The Tree House - which has letters from two little boys to their father

The Monster From Underground - which is about a boy doing a project in which a dinosaur's ghost gets involved.

This last story reminds Mariyam about another great story called "Jimmy Zest" - where Jimmy steals egg cartons to make a dinosaur. It's well worth reading.
