Craig Bradley comes to see us again!

We welcomed back Craig Bradley this week. We had a world exclusive new poem about "dunkers" that he wrote on the train journey to see us.
I can't put the poem on the blog because it belongs to Craig. He has two new books of poems just published - look out for them soon in every Rochdale Library.
His poem about leeks is great - and with the left over leeks we had a lovely meal with leek and potato soup and parmesan cheese and leek bread! - Lovely!!!!

My Summer Poem!!!

Spring,......., autumn, and winter,
They are the seasons I like just a bit,
But I truly have to say,
Summer is the best than all the rest,
Summer makes you laugh,
Summer makes you play,
Summer will always have it's way,
Summer will always guide you through the day,
The summer food I like to eat will have to be,
Ice-cream and jelly will help my belly,
Fruit and vegetables will help me grow,
Cake will help me relax,
Fish will make me smart,
Summer rain,
Summer fall,
Summer glitter,
And Summer sparkle,
And remember Summer will always come again!!

My Summer Fruit!!!

Bananas and sultanas,
Don't think I'm just nanas,
Forget the mustard,
It's all about the custard,
Ice-cream and jelly,
Is yummy for my belly,
Don't be hasty,
Everything's just so tasty,
Eat healthy,
Stay healthy,
What's your favourite dish,
Make a wish!!!!!!

Summer!!!!!!

Summer is fun,
Summer is the best,
Summer's the season,
That beats all the rest,
With it's sun shining,
Down on me,
My knowledge has increased,
For my celebration,
I'm going to have a party,
With all the dining!!!

my acrostic Summer!!!!!!!

Summer, shimering, sun, shines,
Utterly grateful is what it is,
Meaningly there are no words to describe summer,
My summer is the best,
East, west, south, or north,
Reassuringly, relaxingly, summer will be there!!!!
