More Poems from Our Christmas Celebration

Carols singing in the night
Happiness spreads through the air
Reindeers flying in the sky
I saw Santa everywhere
Santa bringing presents for you
To leave them under your tree
Merry Christmas to everyone
And a Happy New Year to
Santa Clause and all reindeers

Santa, Santa, Where Are You?

It's late in the night,
Something's falling from the sky,
It's blue and fluffy white,
The reindeers are trying to fly.

Someone's happy, that's Mr. Ray
He's waiting at the checkout bay.
This is our Christmas rhyme,
We hope you have a good time.

Santa, Santa, where are you?
Have you gone to B & Q?
Santa, Santa, come tonight
We are wishing with all our might.

Someone's happy, that's Mr. Ray
He's waiting at the checkout bay.
This is our Christmas rhyme,
We hope you have a good time.

All the girls and all the boys
Waiting for their Christmas toys.
Angel wants a brand new dress,
Kiran wants a Nintendo D.S.

Someone's happy, that's Mr. Ray
He's waiting at the checkout bay.
This is our Christmas rhyme
We hope you have a good time.

The Best Present I Never Had

A car made of ice
Would be really nice,
So would a self-cleaning bison.
Some big cheesy sticks
That are made out of bricks
and a punch on the jaw from Mike Tyson!

Morpurgo for me
Would be nice to see.
I'd like to take him out to tea.
I'd like a magic wish come true
But it's a secret,
I can't tell you.

A spare pair of hands
Would be handy to see
I'd tickle my sister
Before she tickles me

Presents for Santa

A beard trimmer,
I'd like to be slimmer!
One black boot,
A new red suit,
A self-launching reindeer chute.

A new pair of gloves
For my wife Mary,
A new pair of wings
For the Christmas Fairy.

Some mince pies
With a crust that flies.
Children won't
Believe their eyes!

Some red polish
For Rudolph's nose,
I'll shine it up
Until it glows

And that's the way
My Christmas goes.

Kiran's Christmas

Come in here get your brains in gear,
Have a plate of Christmas cheer,
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer
Is always here this time of year.
So is Santa with his sleigh
To bring toys so you can play.
Merry Christmas have your way
And then you can play today,
Santa says "Hope you're O.K.!"

Christmas with Craig Bragley

The Wheatsheaf Library had a Christmas and Literacy celebration on Saturday 13th December.
Crazily Brilliant Craig Bradley, performance poet extraordinaire came along and we created some brilliant poems. Here's one of them. We hope to post a picture of our shape poem as well as all the others we wrote

Courtney came along for the first time today. Here is a poem in her honour

Course you can, Courtney.
Course you can, Dear.
Course you can, Courtney
But don't do it here!

Course you can, Courtney.
Course you can, Pet.
Course you can, Courtney
But don't do it yet!

Course you can, Courtney.
Course you can, Mate.
Course you can, Courtney
Oh no! It's too late!

Course you can, Courtney.
Course you can, Friend.
Course you can Courtney
Look out! It's the end!
