In English,
Well, poetry time,
I was told to write A Cross Stick
So I did, I wrote "A Cross Stick" in my exercise book
Miss said,
Well, Miss said a lot of things
'bout paying attention and stuff
But I wasn't really listening because I could see
My Cross Stick flying like Harry Potter's Broomstick
To a faraway deserted dessert Island where animals like
The chocolate mouse, lemming meringue pie, rat-atouille live
Miss said, Miss said ............er Miss said
I think she said I should concentrate more
And my Cross Stick disappeared

Cheetah using internet
Hippo hiding in the hallway
Dingo dining downstairs
Aardvark never hurt anyone (but I'm not taking any chances!)
Leopard spotted in the horror stories
Elephant trumpeting from the wildlife section

READ ALL ABOUT IT!
Eagle uses lift to get upstairs (that's eyrie!)
Alligator snaps at librarian
Dodo found in Middleton reference library
Eels sliding down the bannisters

number poems

1 for a duck
2 for a bird
3 for a tree
4 for a nerd

Really good poems
Only happen when
Care is taken.
Hard work,
Dedication
And
Lots of head scratching and
Empty blank looks.

Really good poems
Excite the reader
And inspire people to
Do better themselves
Especially if they are widely read
Really good poems do that
Sometimes I wish I could write them
We will get together again on April 5th, 10-12 at The Wheatsheaf Library, Rochdale
I like Biff,Chip,Kipper and Floppy reading books.
I like poetry but I don't like it when I'm the only one out of all the class who's learnt it all by heart.
I like writing lots of stories at school and at home.
